parking

We are pleased to offer complimentary parking to our guests! Below is a breakdown of available parking options. If you need assistance with directions or parking, don’t hesitate to ask our team – we’re happy to help!

side lot

Our venue has an attached parking lot with limited parking spaces available. Please follow all painted and posted signage.

grace hospital/center

2307 W 14th St., Cleveland, OH 44113

For weddings with more than 50 guests, overflow parking is available at Grace Hospital/Center — just a short walk away from the venue.

street parking

Free, public street parking is available on W. 14th St., Kenilworth Ave., and around Lincoln Park. Be sure to check for any posted signs or restrictions when parking.

vallet + shuttle service

If valet or shuttle services have been reserved for your event, services will begin at the time that doors open for guest arrival. Our valet and shuttle zone is located directly in front of the building.

If valet or shuttle services have not been reserved, the spaces directly in front of the building can be used for parking.

parking overnight

Parking overnight is not recommended in our parking lot or at Grace Hospital, but we do not wish for anyone to drive intoxicated. We recommend planning with a rideshare service in advance. If you leave your car overnight, we are not responsible for any damage or theft.

ADA ACCESSIBILITY

At The Elliot, we are committed to ensuring that all of our guests have a comfortable and enjoyable experience. We are proud to offer the following ADA-compliant features:

designated parking

There is one designated handicapped parking spot next to the building near the front entrance. Please let us know if additional spaces are needed and we will do our best to reserve spaces with temporary signage.

wheelchair lift

Our venue is equipped with a wheelchair lift that provides access to The Ballroom, sidewalk & The Rosehip Room. This lift must be operated by an Elliot team member, so please ask the Venue Coordinator or Security on-site to assist you with its use.

Please note that the lift does not provide access to the Balcony.

accessible restrooms

We have ADA-compliant restrooms available on both event space floors for your convenience.

WI-FI

Complimentary Wi-Fi is available for you and your guests.

Simply select the network and enter the password to get online. If you have any issues or need assistance, don’t hesitate to ask our team!

Restrooms are located in the lobby on the main floor and in the hallway on the lower level.

A complimentary coffee & water station is available on the bar. Soft drinks are also available upon request.

Please feel free to order for delivery to The Elliot. Just let the Venue Coordinator know that you are expecting a delivery and they will bring it to you when it arrives.

If you need additional folding tables or chairs, please ask us!

Soft seating can be removed from the bell tower dressing rooms but must be returned once your party is finished getting ready.

music

Want to play music? We have a Bluetooth speaker for your use on the balcony and the Venue Attendant can assist you with our speaker system in The Rosehip Room.

friendly reminder: no outside alcohol

Please be advised that, in accordance with The Elliot's liquor license and Ohio liquor laws, alcohol purchased offsite is not permitted on the premises. To maintain compliance with the license, any outside alcohol brought into the building will be confiscated and the client will be subject to a $500 fine per incident.

If you've pre-purchased a Getting Ready Package, such as the Mimosa Bar, Bottle of Sparkling, and/or Beer/Seltzer Tub, a limited amount will be set out for you. Feel free to let the Venue Coordinator know when you need a refill, and we will be happy to assist. Any drinks that are not consumed prior to the event start will be served during the event. The Elliot owns all alcoholic beverages and leftover alcohol cannot leave the premises.

If requested, small valuables (card box, ring box, marriage license) may be stored in the office and monitored by our venue staff during the event.

storage restrictions

The Elliot has limited storage space. If enough space is not available to store belongings during the event, please store them in your vehicle for the duration of the event.

Storage is not permitted in the stairwells, behind the bars, or in the kitchen.

please note

Should any personal belongings be left out by the time doors are open to guests, our staff will store them in or next to designated bins in the dressing rooms.

VENUE POLICIES

load-in + setup

  • Items can only be loaded in through the front doors, wheelchair lift, or the back doors. Small items can be carried in through the side door, but furniture cannot enter this way.

  • Side and back doors may not be propped fully open unless actively moving things in or out of the building.

  • No cars or trucks are permitted on the sidewalk/concrete in front of the building.

  • Nothing can block the restrooms, office, elevator, Ballroom doors, or stairwell in the lobby. Coat closets can be blocked with approval from the Venue Coordinator

  • Furniture in The Rosehip Room can be rearranged but must remain in the room. If rearranged, furniture should be put back the way it was found by the end of the night.

décor

  • All decorations and signs must be freestanding.

  • Existing decorations, artifacts, furniture, or property cannot be removed or altered without prior approval from The Elliot.

  • Fake flower petals are acceptable for ceremonies. A cleanup plan must be confirmed with The Caterer or the client’s Coordinator.

  • All flames must be in a vase and approved by The Elliot.

  • Unless electric, candles cannot be placed on the floor.

  • Wax candles must have a dish, plate, or other vessel to catch wax.

Prohibited items include:

  • Nails, tape, staples, glue, paint, or other items that could cause damage

  • Flower petals, rice, glitter, confetti, birdseed, etc.

  • Haze, cold sparks & fog machines

  • Helium balloons in The Ballroom or the lobby

use + care of the venue

  • Items and furniture must not be dragged across the floor.

  • With the exception of a bouquet toss, items cannot be thrown in the venue.

  • Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

  • Running and jumping in the venue is prohibited.

  • With the exception of speeches & performances, guests are not allowed on the stage in The Rosehip Room.

  • A/V in The Rosehip Room must only be operated by the Venue Coordinator or approved operator. This includes technicians, DJs, etc. Speakers and equipment cannot be moved.

  • If your dog is attending the ceremony, please let us know. We would like to pet them.

bar + kitchen

  • Guests are not permitted in the kitchen.

  • Guests and vendors are not permitted behind the bar without approval.

  • Leftover food and desserts must be taken home or discarded following the event.

  • Our bartenders will exercise due care in serving alcoholic beverages and will refuse service to any person appearing to be under the age of 21. Identification and proof of age will be requested from any person who appears to be under 21 years of age. Alcoholic beverages will be removed from anyone believed to be a minor.

security

  • The Elliot will provide a security guard for your event.

  • No weapons are permitted on The Elliot's property, except for law enforcement and approved security. Violation of this policy will result in a $500 fine.

  • The Elliot reserves the right to request any person or group of people acting unruly or contrary to rental regulations to leave the premises.

  • To ensure the safety of our staff, vendors, and guests, any disorderly conduct, including but not limited to threatening behavior, yelling, or actions that make others feel unsafe, will result in immediate removal from the premises.

smoking

  • Smoking, including the use of e-cigarettes and vapor products, is NOT allowed inside The Elliot.

  • Smoking is only permitted 15 or more feet from The Elliot’s front or back doors.

  • Smoking is not permitted on the front steps or next to the side door.

event end + teardown

  • Last call at the bar is 30 minutes prior to the end of your event.

  • You will have one hour following the end of your event to gather and remove your belongings.

  • Teardown must be completed within one hour following the conclusion of the event unless special arrangements have been made with The Elliot.

  • All glassware and vases that touched food, beverages, or flowers must be removed after the event – no exceptions.

  • All furniture and décor rentals must be removed after the event unless alternative arrangements are made with the venue coordinator.
