The Elliot was built with “I do” in mind. Our spaces were thoughtfully designed to host ceremonies, cocktail hours & receptions in one venue, offering you and your guests a seamless experience from the first kiss to the last dance.
what to expect
getting ready
Built into the bell towers, our balcony hosts two dressing rooms with original stained glass, soft seating & mirrors. We welcome you and your party as early as 8 am to get ready on the balcony. Take advantage of the natural light, enjoy brunch & toast to your wedding day.
the ceremony
Exchange your vows in front of family & friends in The Ballroom under the glow of our crystal chandelier. The minimal, yet elegant backdrop provides a blank canvas that can be as dressed up or down as you see fit.
the cocktail hour
Following “I do,” your guests can enjoy cocktails & hors d’oeuvres in The Rosehip Room while The Ballroom is transformed by your vendor team for dinner & dancing.
Hosting your ceremony off-site? Consider welcoming your guests to The Ballroom for both your cocktail hour & a formal dinner, later followed by dancing & dessert in The Rosehip Room.
While The Ballroom is being transformed for the reception, take advantage of local photo opportunities including Lincoln Park's gazebo, Tremont’s colorful architecture & the Cleveland skyline.

The Elliot offers flexible, refined settings crafted to ensure your celebration is an unforgettable experience. The Ballroom can accommodate up to 200 guests for a formal, seated dinner or 250 for a chic cocktail party.
the after-party
Keep the party going in The Rosehip Room or visit one of the many popular bars in Tremont and Ohio City. On Professor Avenue you’ll find some of our favorites - Hi & Dry, Danny’s on Professor, Edison’s Treehouse & The Flying Monkey.

The Elliot is located across the street from Tremont’s beloved Lincoln Park. Adorned with 8 acres of lush trees, blooming hydrangeas & a charming gazebo, Lincoln Park offers the perfect backdrop for your wedding ceremony.
Dependent on availability, you can choose to host your ceremony at Lincoln Park and we will arrange the permit for you!
Clients hosting their reception at The Elliot must request the permit at least 45 days prior to the event - but sooner is better! In case of inclement weather, a “plan b” must be prepared with The Elliot.

Want to keep celebrating without relocating to a second location? Host an after-party for your family & friends in The Rosehip Room.

If you want to tip our bartenders on behalf of your guests, let us know and we will add 15% of your final beverage package to your bill. Guests will be notified that gratuity has been graciously covered by their host. Payment can be made via check or cash.

Glassware is provided by your caterer.
$3,500 minimum package required.
8% sales tax & 20% admin fee not included.
Bar package selection due 45 days prior to your event.
Final guest count due 14 days prior to your event.
Per ABC laws, all alcoholic beverages must be provided by The Elliot. All outside alcoholic beverages will be confiscated and the client will be subject to a $500 fine.
food & catering
The Elliot is equipped with a preparation kitchen for the use of one of our four exclusive caterers. We have thoughtfully curated this list of partners to provide the quality and expertise of local chefs and experienced event professionals, giving you one less thing to worry about.
What does the caterer provide?
The caterer you choose from our list will be responsible for all of the setup, teardown & trash removal for your event. They will also provide staffing, linens, flatware, glassware, china & any other rentals you may need.
You are required to use one of our caterer for your wedding, but are welcome to provide your own cakes, desserts & late-night snacks.

“We had our wedding reception at The Elliot and couldn’t be happier with how it turned out! They’ve done an amazing job with the space, I was blown away when we saw it come together at our reception! Our guest count ended up at 157 which meant we could fit everyone on the first floor. We had our Photo Booth and some cocktail tables in the balcony under the stained glass which guests enjoyed. There was plenty of space for the dance floor and during the cocktail hour in the Rosehip room. It can get slightly echo-y but we hired an experienced DJ so it wasn’t an issue. It meant a lot to us to have our wedding in Tremont at such a gorgeous venue!”
