What are The Elliot’s hours of business?

The Elliot accepts calls and emails between the hours of 9 AM and 5 PM Tuesday to Friday. We are closed on Mondays.

The venue is open only for appointments, events, and our weekly open house. Walk-ins are not accepted. To schedule a call or tour, please visit theelliotcle.com/tour.

Is The Elliot ADA Accessible?

At The Elliot, we are committed to ensuring that all of our guests have a comfortable and enjoyable experience. We are proud to offer several ADA-compliant features to accommodate your needs:

  • Designated Parking: We have two designated ADA parking spaces conveniently located near the entrance and elevator lift for easy access to the venue.

  • Wheelchair Lift: Our venue is equipped with a wheelchair lift that provides access to The Ballroom, sidewalk & The Rosehip Room. This lift must be operated by an Elliot team member, so please ask the Venue Coordinator or Security on-site to assist you with its use. Please note that the lift does not provide access to the Balcony.

  • ADA Accessible Restrooms: We have ADA-compliant restrooms available on both event space floors for your convenience.

does the elliot have a coat check?

While we do not offer traditional coat check services, we provide a dedicated closet space for guests to store their coats during events. Additionally, we have two mobile coat racks available for easy access to hang your outerwear.

Please note that The Elliot is not responsible for lost or damaged items, so we recommend keeping personal items with you whenever possible.

Does The Elliot have heating & air conditioning?

Yes, 7 new HVAC units were installed in 2022.

Where can guests smoke?

Smoking and vaping are prohibited inside The Elliot. Guests must be 15 feet or more away from The Elliot’s front doors. A smoking receptacle is provided outside. Smoking is not permitted near the east exterior door or wheelchair lift.

alcohol

Please be advised that, in accordance with The Elliot's liquor license and Ohio liquor laws, alcohol purchased offsite is not permitted on the premises. To maintain compliance with the license, any outside alcohol brought into the building will be confiscated and the client will be subject to a $500 fine per incident. We offer a variety of beverages and drink options on-site, and our team is happy to assist you with any special requests.

Our bartenders will exercise due care in serving alcoholic beverages and will refuse service to any person appearing to be under the age of 21. Identification and proof of age will be requested from any person who appears to be under 21 years of age. Alcoholic beverages will be removed from anyone believed to be a minor.

For the safety and security of all guests, security is provided for all weddings and events serving alcohol. Our team ensures a safe environment, allowing you to enjoy your event with peace of mind. If you have any specific security needs or concerns, please reach out to us in advance, and we will be happy to accommodate.

  • No weapons are permitted on The Elliot's property, except for law enforcement and approved security. Violation of this policy will result in a $500 fine.

  • The Elliot reserves the right to request any person or group of people acting unruly or contrary to rental regulations to leave the premises.

complimentary parking

We are pleased to offer complimentary parking for all our guests! Below is a breakdown of the parking options available.

  • Side Lot: Our venue has a side lot with limited parking spaces available. Please follow all signage for the lot. There are two handicapped spaces near the front entrance and the additional spots directly next to the building are reserved for our caterers.

  • Overflow Parking: For weddings and events with more than 50 guests, overflow parking is available at Grace Hospital/Center located at 2307 W 14th St., Cleveland, OH 44113 — just a 3-minute walk from the venue.

  • Street Parking: Public parking is avilable on Kenilworth Avenue, West 14th Street, and around Lincoln Park. Please be sure to check for any posted signs or restrictions when parking.

parking overnight

Parking overnight is not recommended in our side lot or Grace Hospital/Center, but we do not wish for anyone to drive intoxicated. We recommend planning with a rideshare service in advance. If you leave your car overnight, we are not responsible for any damage or theft.

additional services

Our clients have the option of adding adding the following services to their event and have been advised to inform you if they do.

  • Valet Services: If your host has graciously provided valet services, valet dropoff and pickup will be stationed in front of the building facing East towards the intersection of Kenilworth and W 14th St. Valet Services begin 30 minutes prior to the start of the event and end 30 minutes after the event.

  • Shuttle Services: If your host has graciously provided shuttle services through The Elliot, you will follow regular parking procedures at Grace Hospital/Center where the shuttle will pick you up and drop you off. Shuttle services are accessible the entire duration of the event and up to 30 minutes after the event.

Please note that The Elliot shuttle services do not apply to hotel shuttles. All questions in regards to hotel shuttles must be directed to your host or your hotel.

  1. Exit the airport and follow signs to merge onto I-71 North toward downtown Cleveland.

  2. Continue on I-71 N for about 9 miles.

  3. Take Exit 247A for West 14th Street.

  4. Turn right onto West 14th Street.

  5. Turn right onto Kenilworth Avenue.

  6. The Elliot will be on your left at 1415 Kenilworth Avenue.

To Downtown Cleveland

  1. Exit the airport and follow signs to merge onto OH-237 North.

  2. Merge onto I-71 North toward downtown Cleveland.

  3. Continue on I-71 N; it will merge with I-90 East.

  4. Take Exit 172A for East 9th Street.

  5. Merge onto East 9th Street and proceed north into downtown.
